Rental Assistance Program: Rent Relief for Renters & Landlords (California : Los Angeles)

City of Los Angeles Emergency Renters Assistance Program

On Monday July 13th, the city of Los Angeles will start accepting applications for the Los Angeles renters assistance program; to help those Los Angelinos who have been hit hardest by the pandemic and the lockdown pay for their back due rent and help avoid getting evicted. The Los Angeles Housing and Community Investment Department will be accepting applications online, as well as, over the phone starting at 8:00 am on Monday July 13th and will continue to accept applications for a short five-day window that ends July 17th at midnight. The program will pay up to $2000 dollars of a person past due rent if they meet: income, city residency, and tenancy requirements. If you live in Los Angeles and are behind on your rent, for one or more months, this program is designed to help you pay some of your rent and avoid getting evicted.
